Our Story

Life is beautiful, but for some, finding beauty in life can be difficult.

At Beauty Is Blind Foundation, we believe that every person deserves the opportunity to discover beauty, meaning, purpose, joy, and hope—regardless of the disability or the challenges they may face.

Our foundation was created to support individuals who are blind or living with low vision, helping them recognize that their disability does not define their worth, their potential, or the beauty of their lives.

One of the founders of Beauty Is Blind Foundation was diagnosed with Retinitis Pigmentosa (RP) A  diagnoses that brought many unexpected challenges and changes to her life. Living through these experiences gave her a deeper understanding of the emotional, social, and practical challenges that people with vision loss and disabilities can encounter.

Rather than allowing those challenges to define her story, she chose to turn her experience into purpose.

Through Beauty Is Blind Foundation, she is committed to giving back, creating opportunities, and walking alongside others who may be navigating blindness, low vision, or disability. Our mission is to help individuals see beyond their limitations and discover that there is still beauty to experience, dreams to pursue, connections to build, and joy to embrace.

Beauty is not limited to what we can see. Beauty can be felt, experienced, shared, and found within.

We believe that every life has meaning and that every person has something beautiful to offer the world. Through compassion, empowerment, education, advocacy, and community, Beauty Is Blind Foundation strives to help people living with vision loss embrace their lives, celebrate their abilities, and recognize the blessings that exist even in the midst of challenges.

Because beauty is not something you simply see—it is something you discover, feel, and experience. And beauty is truly blind.
